Description
This is the perfect gift for the friend or sibling that usually doesn’t like crochet blankets!
This pattern creates a magnificent, fairly dense texture for a lovely warm blanket. Even though a Light (3) weight yarn is used with large hooks (5.5-6.5mm), the end result is still thick and warm.
The border uses 2 different basic stitches, but with a slightly different placement than usual, to create a three-dimensional, textured edge (no front post or back post stitches are used in this pattern).
The body of the blanket is made in one piece and worked in rows, and the border is made in the round.
Over 60 step-by-step photo’s are placed at the end of the pattern to show you how to:
- make the basic stitches
- where to place stitches when it is not made in the usual place
- where to place stitches to ensure an even border
Since the photo’s are all grouped at the end, you can choose if you want to print them, or rather consult them on your tablet or computer when necessary.
Detailed information is included on yarn substitution as well as on how to customize the size of your blanket (many different sizing options included).
4 skeins of 100g each was used for each colour (4 in white, 4 in grey, 4 in mustard). However, you can make the blanket in one colour, or add more stripes – detailed information is also included on determining the number and sizes of the stripes, should you wish to change it.
